Action Plan

Summary

This Action Plan has been formulated based on the expressed views of visitors to our Open Day and Fete stall, together with the responses to the questionnaire. Surprisingly, the main concern was that of Policing or what our residents saw as a lack of it. The next concern was that of Road Safety encompassing pedestrian safety, provision and use of footpaths & speed limits. Another concern was that of development. Respondents were concerned that the plans of surrounding areas (Wycombe & Marlow Town) might have a detrimental effect on our Parish and that Little Marlow might be perceived as a dumping ground by other parishes.

On Policing

1. To meet with Thames Valley Police to make them aware of resident’s concerns.

2. To ascertain the crime pattern within the Parish to establish if there is an actual problem as
opposed to a perception of a problem.

3. To take steps to reassure residents if the problem is perception and not fact.

4.To investigate the possibility of establishing Neighbourhood Watch schemes.

Road Safety

5. To investigate the provision of better footpaths/pavements - Sheepridge Lane and A4155.

6. To investigate & reinforce the previously conducted survey of speed limits within the Parish.

7.To investigate the need for pedestrian crossing(s) on the A4155.

Development

8. To maintain vigilance on planning matters, particularly in neighbouring parishes where it
   affects Little Marlow.

9.To pursue the development of the Country Park as included in the Local Plan.

10. To prevent unwanted development within the Green Belt and the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
